It is not the "true" order of things, but as tiers go up it should be. Good luck. Comment by can you link the site for that atlas you made the screenshot with. Comment by You'll need a lot of fire resistance for half of the monsters and bosses while the other half you will need arcane resistance. You will need fire resistance for the phoenix, Al'ar and the last boss, Kael'thas Sunstrider.
You'll need arcane resistance for the High Astromancer Solarian really important to have arcane resistance since all she does is cast arcane spells and for the Void Reaver, but for this boss, it isn't really needed since it mostly uses melee attacks. A lot of their spells are fire-based and arcance-bases so fire arcane resistance will increase your survivability. Don't forget to gear up or you'll be taking a lot of damage!
Comment by Isn't there a mount that drops in The Eye as well? I thought I saw a something on AtlasLoot that mentioned a special mount. Comment by 03giant Saw a mage with the mount today on Cenarius server. Sick looking. Comment by radeox Patch 2. Comment by Merylyan Why the Tempest Keep doesn't look same from inside to outside?
O Look at the map It clearly doesn't match the shape of the vessel we see floating in the Netherstorm. Comment by As of patch 2. Source , scroll down to blue post. Comment by I have never gotten past the eye :. Comment by What kind of requirments are needed for the instance. Comment by Solo'd level 70 mage. Honestly dont know what all the 25 man fuss is about.
Comment by JustMax So who else's guild try's to kill each other on the trash in here :P We spend like 10 mins a night on resurection's alone. Comment by Isn't there any atunement for this instance? Comment by what are the average reqs for an enh sham for tk!?!??!?! Comment by It appears pretty hard to find minimum requirements as to spell damage, health, armor and attack power for ANY raid.
Any ideas where to look? Comment by pwnage i soloed this guy on my pally it was really easy. Comment by Shayser So, I'm interested in running this for both achievements, and the mount. How many people would be needed, and in what type of gear , for this to be a breeze?
Comment by Could this be soloed by a lvl 80? Comment by good gear level Comment by lockout reduced to three days. Comment by Chromell I 5 man this fight every week with a few friends. To 5man successfully you will want in your group: 1 warrior tank. The tank never gets MCed and since it is a warrior it can pick up the shield to absord Pyroblast and the dagger to break MC asap from any other group members.
It can be solohealed, I have done that before, but I realized that making the healing job easier is worth even the loss of one dps. The trick to do a successful phase 4 passage is having everybody stack with the tank on Kael and just move away if there's a Flamestrike being cast there.
If you get past phase 4, you're done, phase 5 is easy. Just make sure everybody gets close to the ground before Gravity Lapse ends and make sure not to stand close to the Nether Vapor around Kael specially the tank. He still does Flamestrikes, summon phoenixes and disorients, so whoever is carrying the staff has to be within range of everybody. It might take a few tries to get this going with such a small group but you should be fine once you learn it well and feel more comfortable in the fight with a 5man group.
Comment by citrique ed: as of patch 5. Each boss in this instance still drops g Kael drops All trash mobs drop about Green items, netherweave cloth, trash items and potions for vendor also drop quite a lot. This is quite a decent haul for a bored 85 DK looking to make gold from something other than dailies. All in all a good moneymaker, you should definitely start doing the instance for gold now before the gold drop eventually gets nerfed in a later content patch.
Comment by Where is "The Eye"'s enterance? Comment by Vidyaschmoe For any Feral druids interested in soloing this, it's very easy to do the first 3 bosses given the right gear.
Keal'thas is more difficult, but doable, and there are quite a few guides on how to do him on his page here on WoWhead if you're interested. Here's a guide for the first 3 bosses. This guide may also help other classes as long as you adjust the strat to fit your classes abilities.
For A'lar I find it best to go cat spec, when he's in phase one and changes platforms you can use feral charge to quickly jump over to the next platform to avoid extra stacks of flame buffet, and it should be back up right before he switches again. Depending on your gear you can save up the phoenix spawns for phase 2, but if you don't have a decent set of gear I'd suggest killing them right away as phase 1 is harder than phase 2.
Also make sure to quickly jump down from the ledge if A'lar flies into the middle to cast Flame Quills. In phase 2 just kill off any phoenixes that spawn, and continue to dps A'lar until he flies up and turns into a meteor. This is a good point in the fight to use heals while you wait for him to come crashing down. After that, continue dps and repeat until he's dead. Also make sure to stay out of the fire patches he lays down to avoid the stacking debuff. A good way to deal with this is to circle the boss as you fight him so he lays it down in a spot that you're no longer in, avoiding the debuff and damage completely.
Astromancer is a very easy fight to do in cat form, she doesn't hit very hard so you don't need great gear for the fight. The 2 roaming trash packs in her room however have Nether Scryer in them which are some of the only enemies in the game that can mind control with only 1 target on their threat table.
They need to die fast, as they cast their MC at around 8 - 10 seconds after agroing them. For the actual boss fight you just need to do your normal rotation, after a little bit into the fight she'll start casting Wrath of the Astromancer on you.
You'll be knocked up to the roof after this debuff wears off, but you won't take any falling damage so it only serves as a minor annoyance.
You can also feral charge back down to her if you use it right as the knock up begins. Every 50 seconds she'll vanish and 3 light beams will appear. At first a group of blood elves will pop out that you can take down easily with a couple swipes, afterwards, 2 priests will come out along with Solarian.
The priests cast smite and will also try to heal Solarian so it's best to kill them quickly before switching back to Solarian as they don't have much health. She can fear and use void bolts but they also deal very weak damage so the fight is in the bag at this point. Void Reaver is ironically one of the harder bosses to solo simply because you will most likely be silenced the entire fight since you will be getting spammed with Arcane Orb which will silence you for 5 seconds on impact.
Because of this, I like to do this in bear form as the damage can easily overwhelm you in cat form, and you'll be able to heal yourself with leader of the pack procs even while silenced which are of course much stronger heals as a bear. Pull with faerie fire, as you won't be able to use it while silenced. The fight doesn't really have as much too it besides hitting the boss until he dies, however if you're looking for a window of opportunity to use a spell, a good time to wait for is when he throws an orb at you and starts to channel Pounding right afterwards.
This will give you around a 1 second window to cast a spell if you want. Before 4. Thanks for reading this and I hope it helps out with any druids trying to solo this place. Comment by TheRealSaiph I found it a little confusing to locate the entrances to the various instances here. This is a simple summary which might help: Place yourself over the large mana pipe, just North of Cosmowrench. Turn to face Tempest Keep. You will see four floating islands.
The Tempest Keep raid The Eye is through the archway on the largest island, directly in front of you. General Strategy: In Tempest Keep, you can skip ahead to the final boss without killing the other three bosses beforehand.
Also, if Flame Quills is cast in Phase 1, jump down off the upper level to avoid it. He also will aggro all the trash around him upon engaging, so be sure to clear it first. At this point you should kite each member of the group except magelady Capernian to the other side of the room and kill them so you can easily burn her without interference from the others at the start of Phase 3.
Phase 2 , he will spawn 7 legendary weapons which you must defeat, after which you can loot them. One person will need to loot the Staff of Disintegration , and the other will need to loot the Infinity Blade. If this phase is problematic, the weapons should be tanked over by the bow, and a pet or dpser should take care of the staff first.
Before Phase 3 begins, the staff should be used to mitigate the overwhelming CC in Phase 3, when all the council members spawn and attack at once. In this phase, Grand Astomancer Capernian should be killed first as she will do a vicious Arcane Blast which knock backs and slows and a Conflagrate , then Thaladred the Darkener , as he does a large knock back. Phase 4 : Kael'thas will attack.
He will periodically Mind Control the lower threat of the two party members, which must be dispelled by attacking the MCed player with the Infinity Blade, which will dispel it. He will also cast a Pyroblast which does a decent amount of damage and is cast in succession but can and should be interrupted. However, if he has his Shock Barrier up he will be immune to interrupts, so be sure to break it before interrupting.
He will also spawn Phoenixes in this phase, but they can be ignored. You will want to stay out of melee range of him during this time, as he will cast a stacking debuff on you that reduces your max HP considerably. Wait until he is done casting it and there are no more purple lightning bolts around him, then attack him. Reports are that some classes can solo Kael'thas, but it highly advised to master the mechanics in a group of two first. The trash can sometimes pull unexpectedly high dps on you Good news is that he doesnt hit too hard, and seal of insight kept me up.
Any melee class who can heal without casting spells will find him a joke. Does high damage. Has a "shield spike"-like ability which when activated can reflect a lot of damage to a fast attacking melee DPSer.
Also has much higher HP and armor than the other weapons. The tanks can manage phase 3 without it, but they must absolutely have it to tank Kael'thas in phase 4. The weapon corpses despawn after 60 seconds, and the looted weapons disappear 15 minutes after being looted. Players also lose them when releasing after a death or when the encounter is reset. It's not a big problem to have two weapons alive e. Some guilds believe that managing to get all weapons down before phase 3 is the basis for a perfect Kael'Thas kill.
Suggested raid composition for this is 3 tanks 6 healers and 16 DPS players. The DPS composition should include at least 2 hunters, 3 mages and 3 warlocks. As soon as the weapons spawn the main tank should grab the axe. The bow should be tanked by 2 hunters. The staff should be tanked by your off tank A good position is behind Kael'Thas. A paladin tank can and should tank all the other weapons. The Two hunters should be left alone to kill the bow. The mages and warlocks should start by nuking the axe.
The Melee should take care of the staff very very fast. As soon as the staff is down the DPS you have assigned to the axe should change their focus to the group of weapons tanked by the protection paladin regardless if the axe is down or not it will be finished later by the hunters.
Additionally they should proceed in good order to loot the Staff one by one if all of them rush to get it then the AoE on the group of weapons will be too low to take them down in time. At the same time the melee should focus on the cosmic infuser which will now be tanked by the tank that was on the staff assign a rogue or two to stop it from healing. As soon as the two hunters finish with the bow they should proceed to loot it and then finish off the axe hence freeing the main tank for phase 3.
The AoE group should by now have started their AoE with at least 40 seconds remaining. The moment the cosmic infuser comes down the tanking paladin should move a few yards back to allow the healers to loot easily at this point melee and the mace tank should nuke the shield.
The AoE should continue non stop with the addition that the mages and warlocks should now target the Phaseshift Bulwark shield and cast any instant spells they have such as fire blast or a curse so the can hasten the downing of the shield. Each time a weapon goes down the tankadin should move another 3 yards backwards to allow for easier loot. The last two weapons that will go down are the Infinity blade and warp slicer in that order. Two rogues and possibly a DPS warrior or an enhancement shaman should loot the infinity blade to use it in the mind controlled of the raid during phase 4.
If you have followed this tactic then the last weapon should go down just about the moment phase 3 starts. Such a smooth handling of weapons is the half of a very smooth performance in phase 3 and hence a very promising phase 4 and 5. Exactly two minutes after the start of Phase 2, Kael'thas resurrects all the advisors at once.
The advisor tanks and their healers should start to move to their assigned advisors or rather their corpse about 10 seconds before the end of Phase 2, so that they can immediately pick up the advisors. As before, Thaladred and Capernian should be avoided by melee.
All four advisors can be safely attacked by ranged. Since Thaladred is the biggest nuisance, ranged DPS should concentrate on him first. This decision mainly depends on whether the melee group is strong enough to kill Sanguinar on their own, or the ranged DPS have to help.
Since all of your tanks are now free and all of the weapons are down, the melee and your Main tank should head to Sanguinar One healer needed and a CoH priest for the melee group.
One of your off tanks must tank Telonicus the engineer one or two healers needed and one of your warlocks tank Capernian one healer needed - preferably a paladin in the group with the warlock for the fire resistance aura.
As soon as Sanguinar is down, the melee group and their healers should proceed to kill Telonicus. The Ranged DPS should then start with Capernian you should have approximately 1 min left before phase 4 and kill her. As soon as Capernian is down everyone should move and finish off Telonicus don't forget to rebuff the tanking warlock with salvation. The main tank should take position in front of Kael'Thas.
Telonicus should be down just as Kael comes out to play. You are now in a very good position to do a very clean Kael'Thas kill. The rest of this strategy phase 4 and 5 is the same with the "classic" one. Three minutes after the start of Phase 3, Kael'thas himself enters the fight. If only one advisor is still up at that point, a smooth kill is close. If two or more are still up, a wipe is highly probable. Mind Control led raid members should best be sheeped.
It's also possible to use the [ Infinity Blade ] with low damage skills e. Hamstring, Shiv to dispel the MC. Stunning is not always effective because the buff from the [ Staff of Disintegration ] may be in effect. In addition to that hunter freezing traps must be set randomly on the ground, and all kinds of fears should and must be used when Kael is mind controlling your raid members.
You can kill command from out of Los. Commonly if it can be traded, they would have to be there to trade with them if it is soulbound. If it is bind on use then you should have no trouble mailing it, but if I remember right ashes is bind on pick up, so if it has a trade message, they would still have had to be there to qualify for it.
If you have more than one level character it will highly increase drop chance and reduce a time for farming. As people have said its a once a week per character chance. Use all of your cooldowns and kill Capernian as quickly as possible or she will repeatedly disorient you. Removed mounts are mounts that are no longer obtainable, but players who had them got to keep them…. Primal Flamesaber is only obtainable from February 14th to March 13th by playing 15 Heroes of the Storm games with a friend on your friends list.
