Kahless ruled as emperor of a united Klingon Empire and conquered the Fek'Ihri. After his death, Qo'noS was invaded and sacked by the Hur'q. One of the artifacts stolen was the Sword of Kahless. Qo'noS was first visited by humans in , by Jonathan Archer. By the 23rd century Qo'noS had a large Orion embassy sector and aliens including Trills frequenting it.

USS Triumphant , Jul 8, Nerys Myk , Jul 8, I always reckoned they managed to get it back to habitable, but it was hardly a place you'd want to live. The atmosphere in the matte paintings in the establishing shots always seemed that it was filled with some kind of gas.
Either that or Kronos was eternally cloudy. Last Redshirt , Jul 8, Joined: Jun 29, Location: Ontario, Canada. For instance, a moon exploding and the excelsior being damaged by the shockwave light years away. And because we closed our eyes and plugged our ears, Kronos is right as rain.
Joined: May 17, Who's to say whether an explosion caused by dilithium instability can or cannot generate a subspace shockwave? We don't currently know the properties of dilithium anyway, so saying the 'science' is ridiculous is like saying dogs are descended from wolves is ridiculous. Even though we know the genetic history of dogs, the two species are dissimilar enough to deny the relationship.
That doesn't make it true. Therefore, it can be said that once we do know the properties of dilithium, we'll know for certain whether or not an explosion caused by instability can generate a subspace shockwave. FormerLurker , Jul 8, All waves I know of in nature weaken over distance.
The Excelsior, a vessel weighing many thousands of tons was flipped over in less than two seconds. Surely the force at the point of origin must have been astronomical. So what's up with that? I'm not an expert on anything and he's an expert on things he knows nothing about. Post by Alan Bolte » Tue Sep 16, pm I believe it's been suggested that warp factors are not specific speeds but instead only one factor in your actual speed, the other major one being subspace.
It was suggested that subspace is much faster in some places than others, and so you can get to Qo'nos really fast, but within sol or for trips elsewhere, you might not get there in half the time. Not my theory; I can't remember if the concepts of warp travel and subspace were ever well defined in canon. Any job worth doing with a laser is worth doing with many, many lasers.
That's why I kill them. Pain, or damage, don't end the world, or despair, or fuckin' beatin's. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, ya got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man You were doing well, until everyone died.
