The company is happy to donate to any veterans causes that would fit within those guidelines. So while it's true that donations would not be given to a veterans project per se, they would be given if the veterans project is within the guidelines. Whenever you read something too rotten to be true about someone as big as Target, please check it out as Snopes. This claim is false and it's a shame that it gets spread around.
